Alice:

I understand your feelings. In fact, I don't like the idea of machines
doing my thinking either. My understanding is, however, AutoForms Mode can
be turned off.

Respectfully,

I don't think I like the idea of auto forms mode at all. If I want to fill
out something, it is so easy to hit enter to get into forms mode, there is
no chance of typing something into an edit field unintentionally, I always
know whether I'm in forms mode or not, and if for some reason, I'm unsure,
all I have to do is press the key combination for the pc cursor to find out.

I don't like my computer or its programs to do my thinking for me, and
automatically putting me in forms mode when I may not want to be there falls
into that category IMO.

Hi, I love the new auto forms mode. However I find it annoying when
sometimes it will automatically go in to auto forms mode when you first load
up a site. For example EBay or other sites were there is a search box or
username field, and the website is designed to put you straight to either of
the boxes. JAWS then switches to forms mode as soon as the page has loaded
(sometimes even whilst it's loading), and then you can't use your navigation
quick keys to move around the page, without having to press down arrow first
to get out of forms mode.

I'd like to have it so that JAWS wont go in to auto forms mode in
situations were the website automatically puts you in an edit field.

Anybody else have any comments on this?

        Peter
