In the next beta of 10, you'll be able to save the Auto Forms mode site-by-site, with Personalized Settings feature. This way, if you have a site where you don' want it on automatically, you can save that site's settings as Auto Forms Mode off. This gives those of us that want it on when a site opens on a search field the ability to have it on, and those that don't can turn it off for that site.
Hope this helps. Thanks, Dennis Brown----- Original Message ----- From: "Bob Verity" <rtverity@xxxxxxxxxxxxx>

Just remember that that delay is only applicable when you navigate to an edit field by a quick navigation key. If you land on an edit field as soon as the web page comes up there is no delay in going into forms mode. Just hit the PC cursor key to end forms mode or arrow up or down to move off the edit field. When on the internet try the following 1. Press insert V to bring up the adjust JAWS options 2. Then press the letter A until you find auto form mode 3. Press N until you hear navigation quick key delay 4. Use the space bar to toggle between the options on how many seconds youwould like JAWS to wait before going in to forms mode. I have mine set for1 second. HTH Steve & Shannon Today I married my best friend. The one that I laugh with, live for, love. However I find it annoying when sometimes it will automatically go in to auto forms mode when you first load up a site. For example EBay or other sites were there is a search box or username field, and the website is designed to put you straight to either of the boxes. JAWS then switches to forms mode as soon as the page has loaded (sometimes even whilst it's loading), and then you can't use your navigation quick keys to move around the page, without having to press down arrow first to get out of forms mode. I'd like to have it so that JAWS wont go in to auto forms mode in situations were the website automatically puts you in an edit field. Anybody else have any comments on this?
