Will do, but annoying having to press extra keys when I didn't want to be in
forms mode in the first place.

Try the old way of getting out of forms mode, the plus on the numpad.

Also, does anybody find that when JAWS is going to auto forms mode on a web
page loading, it sometimes refuses to go out of forms mode and you have to
press up and down several times.

Another annoying problem I have discovered with JAWS 10 auto forms mode
relates to combo boxes. When I land on a combo box for the first time and open
it using Alt-down arrow, JAWS echoes each item normally as I arrow up and down
the list. However, if I close the combo box and then reopen it again, JAWS
sometimes goes silent as I arrow through the list. I don't recall this problem
with JAWS 8 or 9. I reported this to FS, but have not received a reply.

I don't think I like the idea of auto forms mode at all. If I want to
fill out something, it is so easy to hit enter to get into forms mode, there is
no chance of typing something into an edit field unintentionally, I always know
whether I'm in forms mode or not, and if for some reason, I'm unsure, all I
have to do is press the key combination for the pc cursor to find out.
I don't like my computer or its programs to do my thinking for me,
and automatically putting me in forms mode when I may not want to be there
falls into that category IMO.

Hi, I love the new auto forms mode. However I find it annoying when
sometimes it will automatically go in to auto forms mode when you first load up
a site. For example EBay or other sites were there is a search box or username
field, and the website is designed to put you straight to either of the boxes.
JAWS then switches to forms mode as soon as the page has loaded (sometimes even
whilst it's loading), and then you can't use your navigation quick keys to move
around the page, without having to press down arrow first to get out of forms
mode.

I'd like to have it so that JAWS wont go in to auto forms mode in
situations were the website automatically puts you in an edit field.

Anybody else have any comments on this?

        Peter
