I've got a Netgear DG834G which is essentially the same a Graham's router, they
are very good for the money.

go for a netgear rooter something like the DG834 GT. This combines a
wireless router with an ADSL modem, the kind you use currently with BT.
This should plug into the network port of your PC.

  Subject: [jaws-uk] Wireless Internet

Apologies in advance but this isn't a JAWS related question. So if anyone
can help me then perhaps they could Email me off lists so as not to clog up
  in-boxes with OT messages.

I have BT Broadband Internet, the kind that came with a separate external
modem to that inside the PC. Someone else in the house has purchased a
laptop with Wireless Internet. I believe I need a wireless Rooter? so they
can access the Broadband internet on this laptop?

  My questions are:
Will this Rooter work even though my BT modem is an external special one
  provided by BT?
Do I plug the rooter into the telephone socket and bypass my modem?
Can both the PC and the laptop be on the internet at the same time?
And if I don't have an internet connection already set up on the laptop, do
I need to have the BT broadband software installed so the laptop can access
  the internet?

Sorry for all the questions, but this wireless internet thing is very new to
me and I don't want to start messing with something until I know what I'm
  about!

  Thanks for any help offered.

  Barbara
