Hi Barbara,

It would be helpful to know the precise make and model of
your wireless router. What operating system are you using
also?

George.

Subject: [jaws-uk] Wireless Internet

Hi all

I know this is not a JAWS question but I asked a similar one
here a while back and got quite a bit of helpful advice.
Perhaps anyone who can help could Email me off list?

I have purchased a wireless router and after disconnecting
my BT Voyager modem, have connected it to the PC and the
phone line. However, whenever I try to connect to the
internet I am being told that an internet connection could
not be established. The instructions with the router are not
very helpful and I understood that the thing was largely
plug and play. So what am I doing wrong? Is there settings I
need to change on the computer? When I go into internet
settings from the Control Panel, it is still set to use the
BT Voyager as the modem and I see nowhere to change this, is
this the problem? Or should I have left the original modem
in place?

Would be grateful for any advice offered.

Barbara
