Hi I would be interested also. I know my Wireless connection has been
most unreliable. It is not that the Signal is weak. On my desktop after the
Drive failure, and Phew! what a nightmare that has been considering it
happened in March, anyway nothing is as straight forward as you think. Did
you have a long number of many letters to putting? I think it is called a
WEP number? Anyway when the Engineer was here to change the Hardrive I
brought in the laptop Toshiba and he said I can see you have a couple of
neighbours near using BT Voyager, but no trace of you at all! The man who
installed it was an Engineer, he said it maybe faulty as he had to keep
setting the Card, just where this Card is I do not know George would. My
Model is Edimax. I had hoped he would bring either NetGear or one called
Dealink. I may have the names wrong. however prior to the Wireless
connection I had a Speedtouch Modem like a Pink Salamander . I do not recall
the connection being so unreliable prior to the Wireless connections. You
should know what you bought? At the moment my desktop is away being sorted
out and I am using this laptop as if it were desktop, however come to think
of it I am not so sure about that either, I am imagining that it is using
the Wired part of the Wireless box, however it too has lost its connection 2
times today. Is yours a box with 2 Ariel's like Antlers sticking up? Does
it have little green or yellow lights on the front? do you have the
Wireless box up high not low down? If it keeps on about "cannot find the
Server" I have had a lot of that since I had it..Hope you get it sorted out.
Dorothy Ps meant to say Engineer said he could see 2 BBt Voyagers nearby,
they are actually my nearest neighbours.
