Peter,

Other than the recommendation that you use version 5 or 6, I don't think
JAWS has any special requirements - it should just work.

The keystroke for accessing the information bar is Alt + N. You can then
press the Applications key or Shift + F10 to open a context menu for it.

Please could somebody remind me of the recommended settings for Internet

Explorer when using JAWS. or point me to where to find them in the help 
menu.
Also What is the key stroke for accessing the information bar in I.E.
when 
you need to download a file which has been blocked.
