I thought that it was just me who was unable to use Firefox with JAWS
17, but I'm relieved (not sure if that is the right choice of words)
to discover that I am not alone.
I tend to use either Chrome or IE but (when it works) my preference is
for Firefox.

Wonder how it is that we have such a range of experiences. Surely we all
should be finding the same browsers to be best with JAWS? Mine's certainly
not to reason why, anyway.

I use chrome but don't like it very much. Mine has suddenly started
displaying messages when I start it. As the messages are of no interest to
me they are very annoying. They disappear quite quickly but by then I have
usually lost concentration. And I can't find any way of stopping this
happening. It seems to have started after using Sendspace.

I keep hearing that Chrome is now good. Last time I explored it, which was
years ago, it was beyond hopeless. Is it fairly solid now then? I'd
happily switch to it if it now does the job.

The only problems with IE is that it is getting old and will not work on
some websites.
People suggest that there are currently no problems with either Firefox or
Chrome. I gather that a few people are now reasonably happy with Edge
although I have not tried it myself recently.

Turns out the fix Sight And Sound did for me yesterday, after I'd hung on
the phone for an hour, lasted less than 24 hours. Firefox is automatically
updating again and has removed my ability to work online, other than via
email, thankfully.
Can anyone advise me, please, as to whether it is safe with JAWS to now use
IE instead? I moved from IE to Firefox when IE got ropey with JAWS, but
has
IE now become more usable than Firefox?
