I don'tknow if this is what you want but here it goes:

3 Setting up your computer in Windows XP or XP Pro

To make these changes in Windows XP Pro, make sure you are logged in as 
Administrator.

Quick method:
A. Display properties.
1. On the Themes page:  Windows XP (modified by default).
2. Desktop page: Background should be Bliss, Position should be Stretch.
3. Screen Saver Page:  None
4. Appearance Page: Combo box, Windows Classic Style, Scheme at Windows 
Standard, Font at Normal.

B. Folder options: (Either from Control Panel or Windows Explorer) Set to 
Windows Classic style, set all folders to look the same from the View page.


Detailed method:
A. System Performance, to eliminate Visual Effects.
1. Open the Start Menu, go to Control Panel, System, and you end up in the 
System Properties dialog box. Press CTRL+TAB to move to the Advanced TAB 
page.
2. Press ALT+S to activate the Performance Settings button. You get the 
"Performance Options" dialog box.
3. Press TAB to move to the list of checkboxes.
4. If any of the following are checked, uncheck them:
        A. Animate windows when minimizing and maximizing.
        B. Fade or slide menus into view.
        C. Fade or slide tooltips into view.
        D. Fade out menu items after clicking.
        E. Show shadows under menus.
        F. Show shadows under mouse pointer.
        G. Slide open combo boxes.
        H. Slide taskbar buttons.
        I. Smooth-scroll list boxes.
        J. Use visual styles on windows and buttons.
5. Press ENTER to close the Performance Options dialog and return to the 
System Properties dialog box.
6. Press ENTER to activate the OK button and close the System Properties 
dialog box.


B. Display Properties
1. Press your Windows Key to open the Start Menu; choose Control Panel.
2. Press TAB twice, until you hear, "Switch to classic view, button, to 
activate press spacebar".
3. Press SPACEBAR, this changes Control Panel to classic view.
4. Press D until you land on Display, and then press ENTER.
5. You land on the Themes tab page in the Theme combo box. Change this, if 
necessary, to "Windows XP".
6. Press CTRL+TAB to move to the Desktop TAB page. You land in a list view. 
In the List of backgrounds, choose "Bliss". Press TAB two times to move to 
the
"Position" combo box. This should be set to "Stretch".
7. Press CTRL+TAB to move to the third tab page, Screen Saver.
8. You land in the Screen Saver combo box. Press HOME to change this to 
"(None)".
9. Press CTRL+TAB to move to fourth tab page, Appearance tab, you land in 
"Windows and Buttons" combo box, make sure  that it is set to Windows 
classic
style.
10. Press TAB to move to the next control, Color Scheme combo box. Make sure 
it is set to Windows Standard. Press TAB one more time to move to the Font
Size combo box. Make sure that the Font is set to "normal".
11. Press ALT+E to activate the "Effects" button. You land in a 3 state 
button that is labeled "Use the following transition effect for menus and 
tool tips".
Press SPACEBAR to change this to say "3-state button, not checked."
12. Press TAB to move to the checkbox "Hide Underlined letters for keyboard 
navigation until I press the ALT key." Press SPACEBAR to uncheck this item.
(Only required for versions of JAWS prior to version 4.5.)
13. Press ENTER to close this dialog and you go back to the Appearance Tab 
page.

**NOTE: these changes have now caused the Display Tab page Themes combo box 
to say "Modified Theme".

14. Press ENTER to go back to Control Panel.

C. Changes in Control Panel and Folder Options.
1. Press ALT+V, D to change to Detail view.
2. Press ALT+T to go to the Tools menu
3. Press O for Folder Options.
4. You land in the "Tasks" radio button group. Down arrow to choose "Use 
Windows Classic folders"
5. Press CTRL+TAB to move to the View TAB page.
6. [OPTIONAL] Press TAB twice to move to the Advanced Settings tree view.
7. [OPTIONAL] Down arrow to "Hide extensions for known file types", press 
SPACEBAR to uncheck.
8. [OPTIONAL] Down arrow to "Show pop-up description for folder and desktop 
items", press SPACEBAR to uncheck. (NOTE: I turn this off for people who may
be using screen magnification software, such as MAGic. This pop up 
description often hides the menu item just below any given menu item, making 
it impossible
to visually see the next item in the menu list.)
9. Press TAB several times until you move to the "Apply to All Folders" 
button and press SPACEBAR.
10. Answer Yes to the dialog that comes up to acknowledge this change.
11. Press TAB to move to the OK button in the Folder Options dialog box and 
press SPACEBAR to close this dialog box.


D. Start Menu
1. Move to Start Button and press the Applications key (third key to the 
right of the spacebar), in the context menu choose "Properties".
2. You land in a group of 2 radio buttons. Down arrow to "Classic start 
menu".
3. Press CTRL+TAB to move to the Taskbar TAB page. Press ALT+G to move to 
and uncheck the "Group similar taskbar buttons" checkbox.
4. Press ALT+H to move to and uncheck the check box for "Hide inactive 
icons".
5. Press ENTER to close this dialog box.


E. Windows Explorer
1. Press WINDOWS KEY+E to launch Windows Explorer. You land on my computer. 
Move to your local hard drive in the tree view.
2. Press ALT+V to open the View menu; choose "Arrange Icons by" submenu; 
move to the menu item "Name" to arrange by Name. Press ENTER to select this 
and
close the menus.
3. Press ALT+V to open the View menu again; choose "Arrange Icons by" 
submenu again; move to the item "Show in Groups". If it is checked, press 
ENTER on
it to uncheck it and close the menus. If it is not checked, press the ALT 
key to close the menus.
4. Press ALT+T to open the Tools menu.
5. Press the letter O to open the Folder Options dialog box.
6. Press CTRL+TAB to move to the View tab page. Press SPACEBAR to activate 
the "Apply to all folders" button and press SPACEBAR on the YES button to 
acknowledge
this change.
7. Press TAB several times to move to the OK button in the Folder Options 
dialog box and press SPACEBAR to close this dialog box.


F. Turning off the Language Bar. (Only required for versions of JAWS prior 
to version 4.5.)
1. Open the Start menu, go to Settings, then to Control Panel, and choose 
Regional and Language options.
2. Press CTRL+TAB to move to the Languages TAB page.
3. Press SPACEBAR on the "Details" button. A new dialog box opens, "Text 
Services and Input Languages".
4. TAB to the Language Bar Button and press SPACEBAR.
5. Another dialog box opens, "Language Bar Settings", and you land in a 
checkbox "Show the Language Bar on the desktop" and it most likely will be 
checked.
Press SPACEBAR to uncheck this.
6. Press ENTER to activate the OK button, and you go back to the "Text 
Services and Input Languages" dialog box.
7. TAB to the OK button and press SPACEBAR.
8. Close Control Panel with ALT+F4 (if necessary, ALT+TAB to put focus back 
into Control Panel.)
