Well, you are always welcome to start your own project on Sourceforge
or elsewhere - nobody is preventing you from doing so.
Agreably Indians' contribution is not very much when compared to
others (look at our population density). But I do agree with shiv

Another reason is the very poor educational system we have in India.
Surely there are much more students scoring about 90% here. =)
