[Ilugc] [survey] Indias contribution to OpenSource software map

Hi, 

 

That is waht a meant to ask. No new software I can see. 
People may be using it for their work and reporting bugs and 
submitting patches but nobody is in a lead position.

Please don't top post.

Also, consider this..
Linus Torvalds leads the Linux Kernel Project.
His work is dependent on thousands of people testing/submitting patches.

Being the lead is not that big a deal.
Anyone can fork an existing project and call himself the lead.

Today, I can fork the Linux Kernel and start my own Kernel tree, but
whose going to submit patches and add new features?

Each person involved in that project plays a vital role in its
development.

So being a Project lead is not "that-biga-deal" in FLOSS.
Sure he makes the decisions but those decisions are made in full
democracy will all the project contributors.
So, just being the lead is not important, it's the lines-of-code which
matter.
