[Ilugc] [survey] Indias contribution to OpenSource software map

That is waht a meant to ask. No new software I can see. People may be
using it for their work and reporting bugs and submitting patches but
nobody is in a lead position.
Well, you are always welcome to start your own project on Sourceforge
or elsewhere - nobody is preventing you from doing so.
For most people, the more practical and useful thing to do is to
contribute to an existing project that already solves a problem, and
to enhance and extend its scope, or make it more usable, reliable and
maintenable.
If you had started using GNU in 1984, instead of asking inane newbie
questions in 2005, maybe you'd have been the lead maintainer of major
project by now.
