Hello,I've done this numerous times on my Icon and it has never done anything more than a normal warm reset. In fact, it only gives the one rapid vibration and completes the reboot without resetting anything to anything approaching factory defaults.

You might want to try to set the Icon or Braille+ back to the factory defaults. Here is what the manual says about this: Factory ResetIn the event your unit becomes inoperational, you may restore it to thefactory defaults by following this procedure: 1. Press and hold Reset for five seconds.2. While reset is still down, hold down the Star key on Braille+ or thePound key on the original Icon.3. While Star or Pound is still down, release the reset button. The unit responds with a vibration, then a few seconds later, another vibration. Theunitrestores the factory defaults from a partition on the hard drive, so this takes several minutes. At the end of the process, the unit restarts andgives its final vibration before the speech resumes about a minute later. -----Original Message----- From: icon-discuss-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:icon-discuss-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Richard Turner Sent: Friday, July 06, 2007 6:02 PM To: icon-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [icon-discuss] Cleaning out personal information Greetings,I have a demo Icon that the agency I work for is purchasing for a client.I put in my bookshare user name and password.
