Hi Sarah, Oh, I'm so happy you had such a lovely time at Quakers as always and
made up for lost time so lovely. Ah that's such a shame you didn't have a
picnic as your weather sounds just like ours very showery so not worth the risk
but your pub lunch so yummy. Yes home made always the best you can't beat it
and that pub you went to with Jamie sounds so lovely and homely for sure. Shame
your pub isn't as nice. OH I do hope you are able to move one day soon that
will be ideal for you. Oh I don't like music too loud in pubs either it's such
a pain as it's more isolating for us totally blind people with not being able
to hear what's going on around us or what's being said and can't even hear
ourselves talk haha. Oh what a nightmare. Oh that's such a shame you are not
able to go to the others to Wales as that would have been ideal with you not
having Emma tomorrow as they accidentally cancelled her as you usually have
someone on bank holidays that's very bad but as you say you will make up for
lost time on Tuesday for sure. Yes I agree with all you and Carol say about us
totally blind people feeling trapped it's not good we can't just go where we
want when we want without having to rely on others. I'm very lucky I live with
my parents but I still get the same feelings of being trapped. These sighted
people don't know how lucky they are and like Carol I have never been an
independent blind traveller it's just too daunting for me so you and others do
amazing there I admire you and other blind people who travel alone on trains
etc and use canes or have guide dogs. I know we are all different though and
what works for one person doesn't work for another so we all do what we feel
happy with so for people like me and Carol carers are a lifeline but I'm very
lucky to have such lovely parents who will help when needed and now I have
those lovely friends from the blind club who will take me out the odd times
cool yea. Ah bless you thinking of me when you heard that yummy chocolate
cookies recipe and that's true they wouldn't last long with me they wouldn't
even get into the container hahahaha. Well I'm having a good chill out day with
my all important chocolate fix. Just had cheese toasties and that yummy aero
mousse and later will have an orange bar. This afternoon had my usual chocolate
cake with a good old cuppa. Well so glad your beloved is on the mend now and
back to his usual self so hope you will be able to make up for lost time soon.
Well enjoy the rest of the day. Keep you posted how it goes tomorrow with
auntie Pearl. Not sure where we are going yet but it will be lovely whatever we
do. Love Clare xxxxxx
