That is exactly what I am talking about. I just try to be careful with it,
and the phone does work for me. Besides, I love having my reading device at
hand all the time. it really does come in handy.

Hi Diane,
I have the N82, Talks, and KNFB Reader, too.
I'm not sure if this is what you meant, but I know when I start to dial a
phone number Talks steps on itself so that I never actually hear the first
digit I enter on the keypad.
In fact, I always pause long enough to be sure I hear the digits spoken
after that.
If there is some way to work around that I don't know what it is.
