I think the GUI requirements should be fairly concise:

The host supplies a peer window handle and a suggested window size if requested.
The host supplies a generic parametric UI if requested.
The host negotiates window sizes if requested.
The host can open, MINIMIZE, or close the editor.


Within these parameters, plugins can open multiple editors, multiple windows, etc.

Multiple editors - YES ( GMPI's MVC nature should support this easily )

Yes Sounds reasonable.

It was me that asked the question, now i'm thinking no. We don't need to specifically support zero windows. Hardware control surfaces (the reason I gave) are already catered for via MIDI controllers etc.
