[geocentrism] Re: Saul of Tarsus

All,
I have not read all of the long emails on this between Neville and
Allen. But I'll weigh in on one point. When a conflict appears to
exist, then re-focus on exactly what the words actually say.

Steven's comments are below.

Neville's latest email says in part (in red):

"Yeshuwa' was asked a direct question: What is the greatest commandment?
Is this true?

Yeshuwa' answers that direct question directly. Is this true?

Saul teaches a different answer..."

But look at what is being said. Christ answers the question "Which is
the great commandment in the law?" Paul isn't asked this question. So,
there is no conflict on the face of the actual language.

The question then is how are the two passages to be read together. I
believe Paul is saying: he that loves his neighbor, as he ought, loves
him for God's sake, and so complies with the other great precept of
loving God, and upon these two precepts (as Christ teaches) depend the
whole law and the prophets. See also Romans 13:8. There is no
conflict. And whether Neville/Stephen agree with this reading, it is at
minimum a plausible reading, demonstrating no actual conflict
necessarily exists.

It seems that Neville and Stephen are so set in declaring that Paul is
the evil one, that I doubt this will convince them, but I just pass it
along for consideration.

I don't know if Neville and Stephen accept 2 Peter as an inspired part
of the Bible. At 2 Peter 3:15-16, he says: "And account the
long-suffering of our Lord, salvation: as also our most dear brother,
Paul, according to the wisdom given him, hath written to you, As also
in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things: in which are
some things hard to be understood, which the unlearned and unstable
wrest, as also the other Scriptures, to their own perdition."

Seems clear that Peter is describing Paul (Saul) as his most "dear
brother" rather than the "evil one" and seems he is also referring to
the likes of Neville and Stephen when referring to the unlearned and
unstable. (Allen, my apologies if you've already made this point, but I
just haven't read all the emails).

Can Neville or Stephen tell us if Peter is speaking infallibly here
(i.e. if God is speaking through Peter here).

Regards,
Nick.

Dear All,

Daniel prophesized that the evil one would change times and the law.
Here is an example where Saul (the evil one) teaches contrary to
Messiah.

Yeshuwa' said: (Mat 22:36-38 KJV) "Master, which is the great
commandment in the law?

Yeshuwa' said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy
heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

This is the first and great commandment."

Saul said: (Gal 5:14 KJV) "For all the law is fulfilled in one word,
even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself."

Kind Regards,

Steven Jones.
