My apologies Allen, I didn't see it as a joke. I was merely saying that Friar Tuck is a fictional character and his words, whether wise or not, are the words of someone else. The words in themselves may well be wise even if uttered by Mickey Mouse, but it was the 'Friar' connection that I was alluding to as if it was giving some kind 'official' credibility to scripture. Jack PS When I went on holiday this year to the Yorkshire Dales, I saw the actual waterfalls that 'Robin' had his fight with 'Little John'. The visitor's centre make quiet a tourist feature out of this location. ----- Original Message ----- From: Allen Daves To: geocentrism@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Friday, July 06, 2007 5:58 PM Subject: [geocentrism] Re: Aspden effect and Aether. It's not "back-up for scripture" or for any position of argumentation from scripture ....What do you mean ? ...what it is, ...is the punch line to a one line joke...notice the title of the story itself......The joke only relates to the posting in topic not in either actual justification or condemnation of anything..... P.S. For any RC that might be offended .....well I got the joke from a RC ...I hardly think he meent it as "real justification" for his postion either............lol
