svn code now includes a preliminary version of a plugin for changing authority
and running things as a different user.
Really, it's at proof-of-concept stage. I've not yet figured out how to get PAM
to approve things, nor whether polkit can do any user other that self or root,
nor what are the needed changes to the context after approval is gained. Su(1)
might be a template for the latter. There's a commandline option -u, as
previously posted. There will be actions to replicate the effects of commands
su, sudo. Ignore pkexec altogether.
Build with WITH_SU=1, optionally also WITH_POLKIT=1
