Apparently they released a "HD Remastered" edition of Homm3 recently.

Sadly they apparently lost the source code to the expansions so its only 
vanilla Homm3 :/

Its great but that also kinda points out the problem.



To get into Tiger(4th razor hit) you need razor CH or do delay shenanigans.  
Would have been nice to be on enough plus to force the opponent to block the 
incoming mixup instead getting to bait retaliation.



Tiger is not really a problem tho since its the most usefull stance imo.  It 
actually has answers for whatever the opponent does.

Snake can mostly handle itself as well.



Panther and Dragon needs some help on their transitions.





This is all talking about transitions on HIT.



On blocked razor into Tiger lei is at -14.  

Other stance transitions from razor on block are all worse than -10 on block as 
well.

I saw a few Lei player then to go into Tiger after razor rush on hit and then 
hold back so you dash out of their range of their dick punch or their 
retaliation. That's where TGR 4 launches
 them. It's a weird set up but it works for those who are bad under pressure of 
razor rush and just think dick punch solves everything.


Not sure if it'll work the same on block though.

I know they nerfed his razor rush a few times.


It use to razor rush on block into stance and guess.


Now razor rush on block into stance...dick punch/generic d+4 stops all. Lei's 
turn to guess...Unless his stances have hopkick...razor rush is not as strong 
as it used to be in old times.
 Also the razor rush sidestep into stances used to cover much more distance. I 
remember i could almost go into opponent's back if they do something linear or 
dick punch.

Paul’s d+1 doesn’t track all that well. Generally you are forced to use it 
because it’s his only fast-ish mid. He doesn’t have a generic df+1. You have 
df+2
 at 15f, but that’s punishable.

Meh, as Steve said, we’ve had these discussions before and they go round and 
round. Paul doesn’t need better tracking. He’s got his good punishment, nice 
wall game and good
 mid range moves. What he lacks is tracking or any sort of plus on block/ rush 
down game. If they give those to him, well then he jumps a bit in the tier 
list. Would I like those added? Sure. Is it a major issue not having them? Not 
really.

 

Lei doesn’t need trackers. He has enough other tools. Are they good enough to 
make him top tier? Hell no. Is he still playable? Sure.

Paul's d+1 tracks really well. He also have a generic db+4.


Sure it's not as damaging as some homing move. But they're pokes that is fast 
and stops your opponent from walking around freely. And on hit, it puts you 
back to "your" game. Instead of defending
 and waiting to land a b+2 homing.
