Try reading The Seventh Tower and that whole series. I validated it. I am waiting for the next book in the series.
Magic or not and the others in that series are also fun.Master Cornhill is historical rather than fantasy. I liked that when I validated it. It is set in the time of The Great Fire of London and the plague in the reign of Charles II.
I learned a lot about history by reading novels, both ones written for supposed children and ones written for us older folks.
Children's books are a good way for me to lighten up when in the middle of a large "adult" type svalidationg project.
