The Plantronics 590A are not noise cancelling. This would be a nice feature provided that it could be switches on and off. I have never used them on a bus or a plane although I routinely use them and other non noise cancelling headphones in noisy (loud TV, traffic etc.) without any major difficulty. It's simply a matter or adjusting the volume and tuning out the background noise.

Question is: are the headphones noise-cancelling? Could you even hear them while on a bus or plane? I don't know that. This is why I am asking? At 04:53 PM 11/28/2006, Walt Smith wrote:Sure it is.
