Hi,

I,too, Had never used any type of cordless headphones prior to purchasing
these headphones. The occassion for doing so was that I bought a neww
laptop thay had the option of a built in Bluetooth transmitter as do most
new laptops. There is also the fact that cellphones are available with the
option as well as many other devices. This makes it possible to use
several devices with the same headset without an adapter. The adapter is
for use with devices that are not already equipped with a transmitter.

As for advantages of Bluetooth over other wireless headphones i can't say
conclusively which is best except to say that if it is an infrared device,
it will only work in "line of sight". If the device is RF then it is
probably subject to more interferrence than Bluetooth and probably has less
range. Bluetooth has a range of 33 feet and is quite clear within that
range.

To sum it up: Bluetooth is a newer technology and is or will be compatible
with more devices and probably works a little better, otherwise RF wireless
might be adequate.

Hi Richard,

I to am interested in a set of head phones for my BP but am wondering
what advantages there are in using a Bluetooth and adaptor over a
cordless headset.

I have never used either type mentioned above so any info would be
greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Tom.
