I have tried to find an MP3 book player for my wife. We settled on the
ipod shuffle which can't make up it's mind about whether it goes back to
the beginning of the book after charging or remaining where you left
off. I have tried about all the possibilities, but if anyone has any
suggestions...

OK, I'll get to the point now. The short of this is, I'm tempted to buy
her a bookport even though she is not blind. At least you can depend on
the bookport not losing it's place in a book and if you really want to
make sure, you just set a marker. So, I add my voice to those who
praise this little wonder. Thanks to alla nd have a very merry
Christmas. You deserve it.

Neal

Not to belabor the point, but ... me too! The BookPort has utterly and
completely changed everything about how and what I read. For the first
time ever, I can carry a little library in my pocket, with all the
varieties of books and music I might want to enjoy. I can read many
books at a time, stopping in the middle to read something else, only to
come back and find myself at the exact place at which I stopped reading.
I can also read just about as fast as I want. All of these are firsts.
I can't thank APH, and in particular, Larry, Pamela, and Rob, enough for
going the extra thousand miles to liberate this hopelessly addicted
bookworm. Have a beautiful Holiday, wherever and whoever you are!

I echo the sentiments below. the Book Port has become my constant
companion on the bus to/from work. It also threatens to become my
faithful companion on those interminable flights from Portland to
Atlanta and on to Baltimore and back. Works superbly with a set of Bose
Quiet Comforrtt Headphones.
