Hi Melissa,

What are you using now to scan? I am not blessed with huge RAM, so a memory hog would be a concern. Thanks for your reply. Tim ----- Original Message ----- From: "Melissa Smith" <mdsmith25@xxxxxxxx>

I used this software about 5 years ago. It did a pretty decent job with
character recognition. My biggest complaint, was that it was a huge
memory hog. Often times, I would get the message that I was out of
virtual memory while using this program. I had a pretty good amount of
ram at the time. The latest version may be better, though.Other than
that, I don't remember much about the program.

Hello all,

I am looking to get started scanning books and have two questions.
First, I am looking at buying Text Cloner Pro and wondered if anyone
here uses it, and if so what do you think of this software? Secondly,
can anyone recommend a good cheap scanner that works well for scanning
books? I greatly appreciate any help. Tim
