Many members of the Huachuca Astronomy Club were located along the path spread
out from Oregon to Nebraska with the highest concentration in Casper WY. All
indications are that no one was clouded out. (Reports in from Oregon, Idaho,
Wyoming and Nebraska) In Casper we had some high cirrus that moved over the
sun just before totality but it made very little difference. It was fantastic
and great fun. Just way too short.
Casper was eclipse crazy - their festival lasted the whole week prior and went
deep into Monday night. A lot of fun.

I haven't seen any news from Arizona eclipse chasers. How was it up in Oregon?
Our family group of 11 people, ages 1 to 75, were a couple miles south of
Carbondale, Il. We had about 30% cover of cumulus clouds, but fortunately
there was a huge sucker-hole leading up to and during totality. Thousands of
people just North of us were less fortunate. They were clouded out at the
Southern Illinois University Stadium. At least they had a lot of entertainment
up there, including a performance by Ozzy Osbourne singing "Bark at the Moon".
