I was in Monmouth OR and had a great view of the eclipse from a private
backyard.

I haven't seen any news from Arizona eclipse chasers. How was it up in
Oregon? Our family group of 11 people, ages 1 to 75, were a couple miles
south of Carbondale, Il. We had about 30% cover of cumulus clouds, but
fortunately there was a huge sucker-hole leading up to and during totality.
Thousands of people just North of us were less fortunate. They were clouded
out at the Southern Illinois University Stadium. At least they had a lot of
entertainment up there, including a performance by Ozzy Osbourne singing
"Bark at the Moon".
