Sun was totally covered about an hour before start. Thinned out about 10
minutes prior and while we were observing through Cirrus clouds the views
and photographs were great.

I got a shot of the diamond ring on re-emergence and a couple of solar
flares to boot.
Canon digital back, 80-200 L Glass zoom with a 2.0X and 1.4X tele-convertor
stacked. Decent results all things considered.

south of Carbondale, Il. We had about 30% cover of cumulus clouds, but
fortunately there was a huge sucker-hole leading up to and during totality.
Thousands of people just North of us were less fortunate. They were clouded
out at the Southern Illinois University Stadium. At least they had a lot of
entertainment up there, including a performance by Ozzy Osbourne singing
"Bark at the Moon".
