This post started out with me trying to find something to do when I had the
flu. It is unreal the number of people walking around the stores with masks on
here and hacking and coughing. My mom said she heard a little girl tell her dad
the other day “I’m trying to be good daddy”. She had the flu and apparently
felt like her coughing and carrying on was misbehaving. They were there getting
stuff to help her stay hydrated and help her through the flu. In addition to
the unreal number walking around the stores with the flu it is unreal to read
the number of people on my FB that make comments as though they have the flu,
but then in the very next sentence talk about having to go to work. This flu
will never get out of here if people do not quarantine themselves. I was
looking for something to do while I was quarantined. I think I read somewhere
that the flu virus or germ can live up to either 24 hours or 48 hours on hard
surfaces, but apparently only about 15 minutes on Kleenex. On a positive note
though I am about half way through season one of “Psych”.

A lot of fans would probably put in a good word for you right now *lol*.

Depending on what the Vikings do Sunday, the Bears could firmly be in the
basement of their devision Sunday. Then their last game against the Vikings
won’t help the Bears out even if the Bears manage to win against them. Would
just be bragging rights that they had beaten the Vikings twice, but they would
still be behind them because I don’t foresee the Bears beating the Lions even
though they will be playing Chicago on Sunday. I don’t think the Lions will
overlook the Bears they will want that win going to face the Packers in their
last game.

Well, I am thinking that this show that Bethann suggested is going to keep me
busy for a while. Then if I get bored with that Stacey has also made a
suggestion for me to check out as long as I can find it on Net Flix because
that is the only subscription service I have.. However, the Bears coaching
position sounds interesting. Can you put a good word in for me *LOL*?

Well if you want to do something but not be contagious, you can work on the
delorian, provided you can find when it is.

If you are looking for work when school is done, I think The Bears may be
looking for a coach if you would like to give it a try. You can practice what
you learned in psychology on Cutler the QB.

I told Amanda while I was waiting to be seen yesterday that this is not a good
time for me to be getting sick. However, as she pointed out no time is a good
time. I guess the good side of it is, it waited till school was out. I am
having a real tough time with that whole resting thing. I need to be up doing
something because the unfortunate thing is that life doesn’t have a pause
button. Christmas is coming whether I am ready or not. The bad part is that no
matter what I do whether it is in the quarantined bedroom or not it will have
to be redone when I am not contagious anymore and therefore is
counterproductive. I will leave the coffee alone for a few days.

Well you could have gotten it at a worse point on your timeline I’m sure. But
3 or 4 more days of flu aren’t going to be very good regardless of what you
miss or don’t miss.

There is a lot of it going on up here too So far we haven’t gotten it here,
but we’re definitely not out of the woods as they say. I am hoping Patti
doesn’t get it because usually stuff like that are set backs for her, even a
little cold can set her back some. Which she was threatening to start up with
one the other day, but yesterday and today she seems better, so maybe more of a
scenes aggravation than anything.

Well you know the routine Josh. Rest and plenty of fluids, preferably
nondiretic fluids, so leave the coffee alone for a few days, or if you drink
some then drink nondiretic fluid behind it so you don’t deplete what you have
in your body and of course let it run it’s course. When you brake a good sweat
you will know you are starting to brake the sickness itself.

The fortunate thing is that your flu will not pass from you through Audio-pals
land. But neither will our’s when we get it. At Fault hasn’t figured out a
way to engineer the passing of human viruses via internet, just computer ones
perhaps.

Well, last night was my Little Man’s Christmas program at school, but my dad
and mom took him while my wife and I went to the clinic so I could be seen. We
decided that a trip to the clinic was in order when my wife took my temperature
on the forehead and got a reading of 106.5 degrees farenheit. She took it again
using an oral thermometer and got a temperature of 101.5. She said we were def.
going to the doctor. Well, after along wait in the waiting room wearing a mask
on my face I was seen. The first thing the nurse did of course was vitals and
then swabbed my nose for the flu test. The flu is what I have ladies and gents.
The temperature at the doctor’s office was 101.3. They took my temp using an
ear thermometer. So, the doctor, she said I should keep using my home remedy
stuff. She prescribed me a cough suppressant and Tamma Flu. Before anyone asks,
I did get the flu vaccine this year. Unfortunately, the doctor said, the
vaccine was for a different strain of the flu that is hitting everyone this
year. I am not sure which strain they vaccinated for, but I do know that I have
strain A. She said that I can expect to be contagious for at least another 3
days. So, I am quarantined in the bedroom.
