ok, I work on signs traditional and otherwise if I was working on a
small item I would increase the scale of the objects several times and
then when all is satisfactory shrink it back to desired size and save
out or cut n paste into main design
thereby eliminating a lot of these problems
I admit I rarely do that - in fact the reverse is more likely - I have
to work at scale and then increase at save out stage for
plotting/cutting but that is due to paper size constraints
Martin did supply me with a 5000 x 5000 which I use all the time now
