I just did some experimenting, and I think the problem might lie elsewhere.
I'm running OS11 with RO 5.23 (18 February)
From Easiwriter, I can print using both PrintPDF and PoScript3 (and EW's
native PDF process, which I think uses the same underlying mechanisms) with
normal results for both text and embedded images
With O-Pro I get normal result with text but with an embedded image I get
an error message from Ghostscript. However, the PDF file seems to be
complete with the correct contents.
However, I found another odd effect. When I run O-Pro it correctly loads
its icon to the iconbar but it also opens a new NetSurf window. When
Netsurf was already running it was the default window but if NetSurf was
not running it opens the O-Pro applets website.
So whatever the problem with OS 11 (and presumably 10) is, seems to be
linked more closely to O-Pro than to PDF printing.
