   - *Aaron announced that he and Karen are expecting - Nov 8!!!*
   - *Rudy is hoping to land a job in Austin to be closer to Michelle.*
   - *Nevitt - Paul S. had minor eye surgery.*
   - *Darlene - her mother is recovering slowly from a hospital stay.*
   - *Peggy - George is continuing to struggle with a painful shoulder and
   depression*
   - *Steve - Pat working with her siblings to process her mother's estate.*
   - *Adam - interviews this week relating to his CO discharge application.*
   - *Ann - community of West, Texas.*
   - *Terri - defibrillator implant on Monday.*
   - *Howie - moving to Bakersfield, California for several months work.
   His youngest son has job in Bastrop. Expecting a granddaughter on Labor Day.

   - *Dama - friend doing better in hospital.*

*Christian Education Meeting after worship*

   - *August 10, 2013, Saturday, 9am - 1pm Peace event at AMC to include
   children and adults.  "Peace with God, each other, creation"  Bible
   teaching, art, music, games, meal.*
   - *Planned for summer children's Sunday school classes.*
   - *Next meeting - May 5 after potluck*

*April 27, SAT, 8am - Noon ... Workday at AMC.  Volunteers from Trinity
Child Development Center will be helping out too.*

·        Children thru middle school begin with singing in the purple
room.  The *Gather ‘Round *curriculum theme this quarter (Mar-May) is *Walking
with Jesus: Stories from Mark and Acts.*

·        Youth – Annex 1. Christian themes in film.

·        Open Forum Adult class – Outer Office.  Discussion of Robert
Jensen’s book *All My Bones Shake:Seeking a Progressive Path to the
Prophetic Voice.*

·        Adult class – Annex 2.  *Adult Bible Study – Beyond the Present
Time.  *Today there will be a discussion of J. Denny Weaver’s* The
Nonviolent Atonement.*

*10:30am* – snacks, coffee, tea

*May 2, THU, 7am* – Men’s breakfast at Jim’s Restaurant, 183 and Burnet.

*May 3, FRI, **10am* - Church Women United of Austin has planned the May
Friendship Day Celebration hosted by Holy Cross Catholic Church, 1610 E.
11th St. 78702. Refreshments are served at 9:30 am.  The theme is "Swinging
Wide the Doors of Hospitality." A coin collection will benefit Fellowship
of the Least Coin.  Becca Lambdin-Abraham has been selected to receive the
Young Church Woman Award at the service.**
