It s Ecosol transfer (made by Specialty Materials) that I got from
Beacon Graphics. Absolutely 100% superior to the crap that I got from
the dealer that sold me the printer. Randy Carrone is the salesman
there, great guy-has NO problem giving out suggestions and comparing
materials. Knows what he is talking about and also gets right back to
me.
Only tricky part is none of the companies tell you how to apply it-
they seem to think you just lift up the decal and place it on the
shirt with your fingers...unh unh...doesn't work-it will curl up on
you, and if you have diecut letteing or shapes, not all one piece,
that's impossible! I got some Magic Mask from Stahl's- VERY expensive
but reusable-then started reusing the mask behind the 'straight'
color heat transfer I use a lot of for team numbers (also Specialty
materials) and you can get 10-20 uses out of a piece. Randy suggested
using paper transfer tape-I had limited success with conform tape-
forget that hassle-and then he found Specialty has their own brand of
paper transfer just for the Ecosol...so I'm using that next.
Colors are brilliant and vibrant with the Ecosol, even gold turn
fill, and heat does not affect them. I run it either as 'generic
vinyl' profile (when I forget to change it in the print window) or as
'textile transfer' or something like that in the profile list. Ran
some soft cotton (almost a cordoroy) hats and plain teeshirts last
week and they look great.
