NES will give you case pricing just for asking. Tell them you are an embroiderer starting out. They have a warehouse in N.C. All of the rest of the distributors have different rules. Just buy from them once in a while and after a couple months ask for case pricing, eventually you will get it on all orders. I have case pricing with everyone except Broder now. They are the only one who won't give it to me unless I order something like $5,000/year from them. Broder is last on my list of people to call. I have a friend who is in the business and also has an account there already. I looked up many items while I was waiting for my account to be set-up with the supplier so I could price some basics and order them as soon as I was in their system. Here is what I found: Example: Medium Shirt $10.55 EA (friends price) $18.08 (my price) 2XL Item $16.38 EA (friend price) $22.95 (my price) UPS - Surface Shipping: Free (friend) UPS - Surface Shipping: (starts around $17.50) From what I can tell I am paying 60% - 80% more than my friend for the same items. I have not called the company yet, they are closed since it is the weekend. Is this common with suppliers? I am also an ASI member which I thought might lower some prices at some places.
