Well, the slim line actually clamps the item in place, and the fast frames
have no way of clamping items, so you end up using clips and sticky backing
(which I hate using period) to hold stuff in place. Even with that, it's
still a pain. I think that's what appeals to me. Because of the way they
work, we don't end up using the fast frames hardly at all - except for tote
bags. If I had the choice to do it all again (which I wouldn't since the
slime line wasn't available back then) I would go with the slim line ;)

John,

What don't you like about the fast frames? Why are the slim line frames
so appealing? I don't know much about what they each can do. Tell me more
please!

  Thanks

I have the fast frames and would trade them in - in a heartbeat to get my
hands on the slim line clamping system. Gotta wait till cost justifies it.
Our fast frames came with the machine.

Just my opinion ;)

Subject: [amayausers] Slim Line System vs. Fast Frames

We have a new Amaya XT. We've just been introduced to Fast Frames and the
Slim Line Clamping System. They both look very interesting and useful, but
does anyone have any opinion as to which system is better? What are the pros
and cons of each? What can and cannot be used in these hoops? It is very
tempting to purchase one of these, but prices are high and knowledge is low!
Please help!
