I also gave up on the WACF. Bought the EMS-Hooptech and hats run 10 times 
better. The hooping guage is great and pulls the caps tight for you.

Had the same problem here.  Got the CCF from hooptech (green one) with the
hooping gague and have had much better success - combined with using
actifeed and taking the wings off the cap driver.
