Hi Roger

Indeed they did, but it was never the same outfit, mainly concentrating on
mobile phones and car kit accessories. There were never any good
note-takers or anything really suitable for us after Tandy went over to
them.

I guess Andy's best bet for something reasonably cheap but tasteful would be
to try Argos. The trouble is that you can't look at all the products and
try them out there though.

Kind Regards,

Jackie Cairns

I saw once in an Accountancy trade magazine that when Tandy closed they took
a change of direction and re-opened as Car Phone Warehouse. Shame they
didn't keep some of the kit they sold as well.

Hi Kevin

Yes, they dealt with a lot of CB stuff, hifi, and we once bought a very
accessible talking volt meter. What made me think of them was the fact they
sold some good quality note-takers in the form of ordinary or micro
cassettes. Yes I know they are out-of-date now, but some of the Tandy makes
were good quality.

Kind Regards,

Jackie Cairns

Oh theirs a blast from the past.

I was in that shop all the time I am a radio ham and at that time I was on
the CB radio, I was always buying something every week.
