Hi group!

The other thing to keep in mind is to have a decent firewall. There are
many opinions as to what is the "best" firewall approach. But any
firewall is better than none at all. If you use Windows XP Pro there is
a built in firewall that is effective in preventing some attacks. I
would recommend using Sygate Personal Firewall (free). You can get it at

http://smb.sygate.com/products/spf_standard.htm

The Pro version is only $39.95 and offers additional protection.

If you want to test your firewall's effectiveness I recommend the
following sites:

http://scan.sygate.com

http://www.auditmypc.com

http://www.homenethelp.com/web/howto/firewall-test.asp

I hope this helps!

IMO, the only way you could do that would entail your scanning every
email you get
for infestation and upon verification you would then notify said
person/entity about your
concern. A risky business, I 'd say. AVG does that now, except it
notifies you.

If I were you I would continue deleting all the unsolicited mail; don't
play good samaritan
in this matter.

I was reading where they've begun to infest Mozilla's FireFox.
The script kiddies ain't got nut'n <sic> better to do.

FYI (some)spam fighting tools reviewed:

The best I've found: "Delete".

Subject: [triadtechtalk] Virus

I am sure everyone gets many virus containing emails as I do. I always
delete them and have never had one on my computer (thanks to AVG,
spybot, and adware.) I am sure some senders have them on their computer
and send the virus without knowing it. Is there any way to find out
where they anr comming from so I can tell the sender to clean their
computer?
