well - I'm committed to OE - so I'm stuck with outside programs... I can set up block in OE - with blocking subjects, or from's or the body - from's are pretty useless in any e-mail system since they always change. You can use the ending but so many are forged with yahoo that you can't block them - I've blocked with subject lines successfully. message body's don't do as good of a job. I put to look for the word P*nis - and just about every e-mail got blocked !never did figure out why that happened!! Depending on the e-mail program you use, you should be able to make a filter that stops such SPAM. In poco, I can make filters that look in the body for words that I don't want like viag*a, pe*is, etc. It deletes them.............or dumps them in a folder I named SPAM so I can check and make sure it didn't dump a joke from a friend or something <G> The point I'm trying to make is that if you use a good e-mail program, you can filter quite efficiently and don't have to use outside programs. SpamAlert is. Your email | is not sent to another site to be verified. It simply intercept | the headers (and optionally the messages) at *your own server*. | The addresses can be cross-referenced to blacklists, but the | true power is in using regular expressions filtering to weed out | what you want to bounce.
