I remember everybody that had Win98 or Win98SE constantly complaining about 
what a crappy OS it was.  Memory leaks, system crashes, BSODs 3 or 4 times a 
day etc etc.  All those complaints went away after ME came out and everybody 
switched back to Win98/98SE.

I think M$ released ME just to stop the complaints about 98/98SE and give 
them time to cobble together the first release of XP.
