Assuming you have the necessary drive bays, controllers and BIOS support you can install virtually unlimited numbers of drives. Your computer *should* support at least 2 SATA, 2 PATA and 2 optical drives. If you have a floppy drive you lose one hard drive. Mini and Micro cases are more limited due to lack of space for drive bays even though the motherboard and BIOS may support more.
