Thank you, MN, for the information. Concise, clear, and complete... can't snip
that!
It's nice to have options when buying the memory sticks, but we *pay* for the
convenience of using a single stick when more than 256 MB is needed.
I expect smaller outlets to routinely have in stock many 512 MB sticks, but no
256 MB sticks, because the 256 MB units have been sold or promised to other
customers.
I plan to use the USB connector on the front of my computer for the sticks. The
Belkin 4-input hub uses the USB connector on the back.
If you are using the same configuration, please let me know of problems you've
encountered... and how to solve them... !
If your setup is significantly different, please describe how you connected USB
devices to your computer.

I think you'll really like the Stick Memory Jim. There's no software, and it's
easy to move files back and forth just using drag & drop. It's interesting to
me, though, that the cost per MEG of the memory goes down as you look at larger
sizes until you reach the step between 256 Meg and 512 Meg. It's actually
cheaper to buy two 256 Meg sticks than to buy one 512 Meg -- go figure!? In my
mind, this approach to saving data or moving data between computers is far and
away better than tape, floppies, or making CDs.
