True.  But look at how many people think they are getting something for 
nothing from a new car dealer.

Fancy gimmicks such as double rebates or free gas are paid for with the 
money you would have gotten in a cash discount if the gimmick was not a 
factor.

Customer service and other amenities are never free.  My dentist has very 
comfortable waiting and treatment rooms and offers HDTV, coffee and 
chocolate chip cookies.  I pay him more than I would pay the stark, 
utilitarian and lower cost dental clinic down the street because I 
appreciate the comfort and the cookies.
