RE: a quick poll regarding the 11gR2 OFA

Here we have an HP-UX cluster, so all our data is (are) packaged to
enable the packages to fail over between nodes. So for a system called
'X' we have:

/X/oradata/SID/{spfile|arch|data|redo|ctrl} - on an EVA where each one
of those is a pile of "spindles".
/X/oradata/SID/admin/{cdump|udump|bdump}

Oracle itself is installed in :

/u01/app/oracle/product/n.n.n.n - for everything up to 10g, and
/u01/app/oracle/product/10.n.n.n/{db_1|cl_1|etc} - for database homes,
clusterware homes etc.

11g? Don't ask. We're still migrating *to* 10g even as 10g support is
coming to an end! Go figure.

Cheers,
Norman.
