[opendtv] How about a roast of Bert at NAB?

Talking with several other (largely lurker) members of OpenDTV at lunch, I had 
an idea -- take up a collection so that Bert could visit NAB this year -- that 
was enhanced and extended (twas ever thus) by several of the Snell folk.
Why not take up a collection to sponsor Bert's attendance at NAB, and make him 
the guest of honor at a "roast."

Not only would Mr. Manfredi have an opportunity to see the show and talk 
technology with others similarly situated, but many of us would have the 
opportunity to meet Bert and each other, and we would likely draw an OpenDTV 
crowd beyond the "usual suspects."

My intention is "all good" with this, and I trust that the intentions of my 
cohorts was the same.

I realize the same could be directed to me, but I have appeared at several 
industry events even in recent years.

It would give people more interested in face to face an interaction to see if 
and how well Bert can do it live.  All are liekly to learn something.
