I routinely copy information from Notepad to Excel. In Notepad, items are written with a Carriage Return between items (so are in column format). However, I need these 'vertical' items copied from Notepad and Pasted into Excel in Lines - in one step. That is: The second vertical item in Notepad is pasted into Excel as the second horizontal cell - in one step. Can this be done in Excel? I only see ways to do it in multiple steps. Thanks for any help.
