[mso] Re: Excel Question

The only other way I would suggest, apart from the VBA route, would be to open 
the .txt file in word, do a Find and Replace (search for ^p and replace with 
tab or semicolon), resave as a .txt file and import into Excel as a tab or 
semicolon delimited file.

Notepad doesn't, so far as I can find out, support find and replace on 
paragraph marks/carriage returns.

I routinely copy information from Notepad to Excel.  In Notepad, items are 
written with a Carriage Return between items (so are in column format).

However, I need these 'vertical' items copied from Notepad and Pasted into 
Excel in Lines - in one step.  That is: The second vertical item in Notepad 
is pasted into Excel as the second horizontal cell - in one step.

Can this be done in Excel?  I only see ways to do it in multiple steps.
