There is an application called textpad. http://www.textpad.com it is a =
great text editor. In textpad you can create macros to do whatever you =
need, strip characters, add return characters. It can help with =
importing data. You can likely use textpad to turn your columns into =
rows. Then import it into Excel.

I routinely copy information from Notepad to Excel. In Notepad, items =
are=20
written with a Carriage Return between items (so are in column format).
However, I need these 'vertical' items copied from Notepad and Pasted =
into=20
Excel in Lines - in one step. That is: The second vertical item in =
Notepad=20
is pasted into Excel as the second horizontal cell - in one step.
Can this be done in Excel? I only see ways to do it in multiple steps.
