Children and innocents died horrible pointless deaths before Christianity was proclaimed. Further, before people were around, countless animals died horrible and painful deaths, deaths, which if they were to happen to your pets today, might strike you as evil.


And another question. Is there an amount of evil that would be TOO much? If evil is required, perhaps one could assume that a certain amount is required for choice and that any evil beyond that is superfluous? How much is that? Is there always JUST ENOUGH evil in the universe and never TOO MUCH?
