The 20D is basically a junker body. It's a stop gap camera, at best. It's for those who need something right now, but who are willing to wait for further product development.
I personally don't think that I will get a DM-R.
I'm on 'tactical' alert for a back for my Rollei, which is a more viable alternative for me.
The prices are coming down on higher and higher megabyte stand alone untethered backs.

Why not just leave the adapter on the body. It much simpler that way.

Hi Slobodan!

I am wrestling with the decision to go for the full DM-R, or the (much) less expensive LeiCanon. There are, I think, merits to both.

I will be looking forward to a user report from you, when you get your DM-R.

Sadly, I am only at the thinking stage. I have just sold my house, and now expect to move at the end of April. I'll not be buying anything prior to that, so I will have the benefit of your wisdom before I make the final decision.

Cheers!
